Ryan Mole Set For Visit No. 1

One player who stepped up and had a very good week of practice for the CaliFlorida Bowl was Santa Maria (Calif.) Righetti running back Ryan Mole. Mole, 5-9, 170 pounds was on his way to a huge senior season but a broken collar bone caused him to miss much of the season and it has also hurt his recruitment quite a bit.
Mole had a solid junior season rushing for 1,497 yards and 20 touchdowns to earn Honorable Mention All-State Underclass honors. He looked good at the SoCal Nike Camp running a 4.47 in the 40, 3.83 in the shuttle and jumped 36 inches in the vertical. Mole has great quickness, balance and visions and more than one onlooker this past week compared Mole to current UCLA running back Tyler Ebell.

Mole does have a similar running style and was eye opening during the CaliFlorida practices as well as the game. Unfortunately, things have been a bit slow on the recruiting front for the gifted athlete.
"Sacramento State and Portland State are my only offers," Mole said. "I have a visit to Sac State this weekend (Jan. 9) and I'm also hearing a little from UCLA, Oregon, Fresno State and Northern Arizona. Hopefully things will pick up but that's what is going on right now."
