Ryan Brown ready to commit

Moncks Corner (S.C.) Berkeley linebacker Ryan Brown is ready to make his decision.

"Ryan met with coach Holtz yesterday for about an hour and had a great visit," said the 6-foot-2, 235-pounder's head coach, Jerry Brown. "I think he's leaning towards South Carolina and he could decide this afternoon. He cancelled his official visit to Florida for this weekend so it's pretty much Clemson and USC."

Brown, the No. 24 inside linebacker in the country, has been a Gamecock lean for quite some time.

"I think he's ready to get things done," said coach Brown. "He really felt comfortable with coach Holtz yesterday. He could decide any time now."
