Rutgers, UConn lead for 2012 ATH

Class of 2012 athlete Davon Jacobs has been showing off his skills in a variety of ways this year for Wayne (N.J) De Paul Catholic and colleges are taking notice.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect from the Garden State has returned two kickoffs for touchdowns in three games, proving that he is a big-time threat on special teams. He has also picked off a pass and recorded nearly 20 tackles on defense, so he is far from a one-dimensional player.

For all his efforts his school is just 1-2 through three games. He's keeping his spirits up, though, as he knows they can improve.
The recruiting picture looks very bright for Jacobs these days.
"I've been getting letters from a bunch of colleges," he said before listing those schools. "Rutgers, Connecticut, Temple, LSU, UCLA, Wisconsin and Nebraska.
"I'm gonna try to visit some of the schools [this fall]. I'm gonna try to stay close to home [on those visits]."
When asked whether he has any favorites Jacobs didn't hesitate. Apparently location will prove to be a pretty big factor in his decision if he receives offers from schools that are close to home.
"I like Rutgers and Connecticut," he explained. "I like that they're close and I've actually visited Rutgers before. I like their facilities."
