Rutgers, Syracuse evaluating PA lineman

Last week Zachary Duffy picked up his first scholarship offer and he's pretty excited, as you would imagine.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pound offensive guard from Laureldale (Pa.) Muhlenberg received that offer from Temple and the Owls immediately shot up to the top of his list.

"Temple is the only school to offer so I'd say I like them and then Syracuse and Rutgers," Duffy said.
The Orange and the Scarlet Knights have been showing more interest than any other BCS conference schools and he spoke about where the stand.
"I've visited Rutgers twice. I guess I was there in November for a game and then they had a junior day at the beginning of December.
"I really like it. They have a really good program and educationally it's a great school as well. Actually, they were going to offer me but when (Greg) Schiano left one of the coaches he took with him was my recruiting coach. Everything was kind of a mess so I don't know what's really going on with them. They've stayed in touch so we'll see what happens."
What's up with Syracuse?
"The recruiting coach for my area has been in to see me a few times and I stay in touch with him through e-mail. We spoke over the phone the other week. I was actually supposed to go down this past weekend. They were going to have a junior day but it fell through. They weren't going to have enough coaches there so they canceled it but I'll be there in April."
Duffy plans on visiting Bucknell on Tuesday.
