Rutgers offers in-state DE

After a solid performance at their summer camp on Saturday, defensive end Eric Wiafe of Egg Harbor Township, N.J. found out earlier today that he had received an offer from Rutgers.
"I just got an offer from Rutgers," said Wiafe, who is 6-foot-5 and 258-pounds. "My head coach told me that they gave me an offer and I just talked to Coach Panagos."

Wiafe, who already had offers from Buffalo and Massachusetts, shared his thoughts about his latest offer.
"I like Rutgers a lot," said Wiafe. "It's close to home and the coaching staff is great."
Now with three offers, Wiafe has no plans to rush into a decision.
"I just want to get more offers before making a decision," said Wiafe.
Besides Rutgers, Wiafe has also already camped at Penn State and put in an impressive performance at the Rivals/VTO Camp in New Jersey earlier in the spring. He will visit Pittsburgh next week and make a return visit to Rutgers in approximately two weeks.
While he is in no immediate rush to make a final decision, Wiafe did mention that he would likely make a decision by the end of the summer.
