Rutgers NIKE Camp Preview

If there's a NIKE Camp where some sleepers will emerge, it will be at the one to be held on Sunday, May 7 in Piscataway, N.J. Top prospects from New Jersey, New York and New England will make the trip to Rutgers University for the event, but the biggest name comes from Washington, D.C. Dunbar High School wide receiver Arrelious Benn is expected to be the star of the show in the Garden State.
Benn will be joined at wideout by fellow Rivals100 member Lansford Watson from Brooklyn (N.Y.) Lincoln. The big receiver could play tight end in college and will be a challenge for all the defensive backs at the camp. Other wideouts to watch for include Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep rising star Brandon Boykin and Cherry Hill (N.J.) Camden Catholic receiver Karon Robinson.

Tossing the passes to Benn and company will be sleeper quarterback Kevin Decker from Greenwich (Conn.) Brunswick School who recently won the quarterback MVP award at the Elite College Combine. Piscataway, N.J. quarterback/athlete Tony Logan, Vorhees (N.J.) Eastern slinger Andrew Daley and East Brunswick, N.J. signal-caller Randall Nixon will also be on hand.
In the defensive secondary, three players lead the way. Rivals100 member Evan Rodriguez from North Bergen, N.J. will likely go head-to-head with Benn on a few occasions. Erma (N.J.) Lower Cape May Regional athlete Matt Szczur and New Haven (Conn.) Hillhouse cornerback/wideout Tyrell Wilks are also looking to impress.
The big men battle will be led by an impressive group of offensive linemen. East Meadow, N.Y. offensive tackle John Elliott is looking to push his way into the Rivals100. Fellow New York linemen Michael Hay from Flushing (N.Y.) Holy Cross and Josh Smith from Mt. Sinai, N.Y. are both massive while Sewell (N.J.) Washington Township big man Ethan Thies also has excellent size.
On the defensive side of things, defensive tackle Wayne Thomas from Trenton (N.J.) Hamilton North-Nottingham and defensive end Bobby Bozzo from Waldwick, N.J. will lead the way.
The running back position is deep and talented with a good combination of size and speed. Huge back Devon Ramsay wants to prove he can be a feature back and the same can be said for Germantown (Md.) Seneca Valley running back Jourdon Brooks. The speedy backs include Hopatcong, N.J. tailback Joe Martinek, Burlington (N.J.) Township back Kashif Moore and Sparta (N.J.) Pope John's Jeremy Tucker.
Big linebacker Ben Pooler from Lawrenceville (N.J.) Lawrenceville School leads the way at his position and will be joined by Newark (N.J.) Weequahic sleeper Amara Kamara and Wayne (N.J.) Wayne Hills star Michael Fullam.
