Rutgers leads for in-state LB

A while back Rutgers verbally offered one of the top linebackers in the Garden State, and to date they remain the only school that has offered.
That could partly explain why Jazzmar Clax has the Scarlet Knights at the top of his list.

Of course, that's not the only reason.
"Rutgers is number one," Clax said over the weekend. "I've been keeping in touch with them some and my coach talks to coach (Greg) Schiano."
The 6-foot, 225-pound linebacker from Freehold (N.J.) Freehold Borough said he hasn't visited any schools recently, but that will soon change.
"I'll probably be heading up to Rutgers for their spring practices and stuff like that," he said.
Is there a chance Clax could make an early decision?
"I'm not sure," he said. "I'm just taking it day by day to see what happens. With the whole recruiting process you never really know what will happen."
Clax said Miami and Boston College are two of the schools showing interest in addition to Rutgers.
