Rutgers Lands Florida Sleeper

Rutgers has received a verbal commitment from Riviera Beach (Fla.) Suncoast wide receiver Darren Halliburton.
"He liked the idea of early playing time and he really liked coach (Greg) Schiano," said Halliburton's father. "He knew coach Schiano from his days at Miami when he was watching Darren develop."

Rutgers is getting a very good athlete. At 6-foot-4 and 195-pounds, Halliburton plays quarterback for Suncoast and is a part-time wideout. He has thrown nine touchdowns with only two picks so far this season and has seven catches with another TD. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds.
"Darren had an offer from Central Florida and was also being recruited by Clemson and Arkansas," his father said. "He felt the most comfortable with the Rutges staff."
