Rutgers is Denmans fourth offer

Rutgers recently became the fourth school to verbally offer J.J. Denman a scholarship.
The 6-foot-7, 305-pound offensive tackle from Fairless Hills (Pa.) Pennsbury had previously received offers from Boston College, UConn and Pittsburgh, but the offer from the Scarlet Knights was yet another exciting development in the recruiting process.

It came as especially good news because Pennsbury's season has not been going as well as many would like and Denman needed the good news. He has been playing offensive tackle for the first time this season and he's making strides as he learns the ropes.
Expect Rutgers to get a serious look over the rest of the recruiting process.
"Rutgers offered last week," Denman recalled. "I was expecting it but I could have known about it sooner. They offered [early in September] but I just finally got in touch with them at their game against UNC.
"They re-did their stadium so it looks sweet now. They played UNC so it was a good atmosphere and it was cool. I really don't have an order but I'd say they're pretty high on my list."
Some of the schools recruiting Denman that have not offered yet are Florida, Stanford, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Michigan, Penn State and Ohio State.
"I want to go out to Notre Dame and Penn State later [this year]," he said. "I still have to make the plans but it will probably be later in the season."
