Rutgers in good shape with in-state 2016

Rutgers was the first school to offer 2016 Palmyra (N.J.) athlete Kelvin Harmon and thanks the Scarlett Knights swift early action, they're shaping up as the program to beat for his services.
"I've been keeping in contact with them since they offered me back in April," the 6-foot-2, 180-pound Harmon said. I know I'm going to visit there sometime soon, hopefully by the end of next month."

Harmon, who is listed in the Rivals.com database as a wide receiver but also plays some defensive back, said he has hit it off with his recruiter, Rutgers defensive backs coach Darrell Wilson.
"I like him a lot," Harmon said. "We have good chemistry. I talk to him at least once a week and he stopped by my school back in the spring to watch me practice so we're building a good relationship."
Growing up in New Jersey, Harmon said he's paid close attention to the program in recent years.
"I like how last the last few years they had one of the best defenses in their conference," Harmon said. "Last year they had a bit of a dip but I expect them to get back to it and surprise everyone in the Big 10."
While Harmon has yet to add another offer to his list, he said that might change once he gets on campus for camps over the next month or so.
"I know Pittsburgh, Temple, Boston College and Penn State are all interested," he said. "But they're waiting for me to come to camp and show what I can do. Hopefully I can do that before the end of the summer."
