Rutgers in good shape with ATH

It's still early and anything can happen but Rutgers appears to be in great shape with one of the top athletes in New Jersey for the Class of 2012.
Delon Stephenson, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound athlete from Parlin (N.J.) Sayreville War Memorial has received a verbal offer from the Scarlet Knights and he's very familiar with Rutgers.

"I'll probably be at Rutgers a lot," Stephenson said when asked what the future holds in store for him.
"I was up there two weeks ago, I think. I was just visiting. I've been up there a lot. They offered me a couple of days after the state (championship) game."
Perhaps not surprisingly, Stephenson says the Scarlet Knights are his current favorite.
"I would put Rutgers at the top," he admitted.
That said, Stephenson doesn't plan on making a decision in the immediate future.
"I'm going to wait and see what (other offers) I can get first. I'm hearing from a lot of other schools. I'm hearing from Maryland, North Carolina, UConn and basically a lot of Big East schools. I've been getting some stuff from Tennessee lately," he added.
Stephenson is listed as an athlete and he said he has "no idea" what position most colleges will want him to play.
At Sayreville War Memorial he lines up at running back and free safety, but Stephenson said he would actually prefer to play wide receiver in college.
