Rutgers gets two big commitments

The Rutgers Spring Game brought great news for the Scarlet Knights as two of the top players in New Jersey have verbally committed.
"I committed to Rutgers because it just felt right and I didn't want to leave the state," said 6-foot-0, 165-pound wideout Anthony Miller (right) from Edison (N.J.) JP Stevens. "I want to help Rutgers win a Big East title and I loved the coaching staff."

Miller was also being recruited by Boston College, Syracuse, Virginia, Iowa and Maryland. His was not the only commitment on the day.
"I loved Rutgers from the beginning and didn't want to go far from home," said 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker Mike Ziarnowski from Sommerville (N.J.) Immaculata, who also committed. "I really felt comfortable with coach Mark D'Anofrio and coach (Greg) Schiano. I know I can play early at Rutgers."
Ziarnowski had an offer from UConn and was also being recruited by Syracuse, Virginia, Penn State and Boston College.
