Russells recruitment winding down

Atlanta (Ga.) Marist running back Anderson Russell seems to be in the last days of the recruiting process. The Atlanta running back has narrowed his choices down to Duke and Ohio State and he visited the Blue Devils this weekend.
“It was a great trip, I had a really good time up there,” Russell said. “I got to hang out with a lot of the players and coaches and it was a good experience. I got some one on one time with coach Roof and we talked about the direction of the program and I think they are about to do some good things up there.”

The 6-foot-0 and 195 pound Russell rushed for roughly 700 yards and scored 14 times during his senior season. He averaged over 10 yards per carry. Russell played in a wishbone offense where he shared the carries with the fullback, quarterback, and other running back.
“I am going to take my official visit to Ohio State next weekend before I make any kind of decision,” Russell said. “I will sit down with my family after I get back next weekend and we’ll talk about what is best for me, but I should have something before Christmas.”
At the NIKE camp at Georgia Tech earlier this month Russell measured in at 6-foot-0, 194 pounds. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.59 seconds.
