Russell Allen Doesnt Make Arizona Visit

Russell Allen, a 6-3, 215 pound linebacker from Vista (Calif.) was expected to take his second official visit of the year this past weekend to Arizona but had to re-schedule the trip as his team was playing in a CIF semi-final game.
“It was always a tentative visit depending on how far we went in the playoffs,” Allen said. “We played Torrey Pines on Friday and unfortunately we came up short 14-6. I’m disappointed but we played the best we could. Torrey Pines is a great team so you just have to give them all the credit.”

Allen tripped to Colorado State last weekend and said he loved the visit.
“I had a great time,” Allen said. “That’s a fun place and the football team is strong every year. “There were about 25 recruits on the visit and I think we all had a real good time.”
Allen will trip to San Diego State this up coming weekend (Dec. 19) and is looking to take January trips to Arizona and Oregon.
“I actually haven’t heard from Arizona since Coach Stoops took over,” Allen said. “I’m not sure what the deal there is but hopefully I can re-schedule it. Oregon is telling me they like me enough to offer but they already have some offers out to a couple of other linebackers. So I’m just going to wait and see how it plays out but I’m definitely interested in them.”
