Ruff picks up Big 12 offer

Big 6-foot-4, 298-pound defensive tackle Klinton Ruff added offer No. 4 recently. The Norfolk (Va.) Norview picked up the scholarship from a Big 12 power.
"I just got an offer from Oklahoma in writing the other day and that makes four," he said. "I'm excited to get it. I had never talked to anybody from Oklahoma, so I was a little surprised. They had just seen my film and liked what they saw. I'd say they are up on top with everybody else now."

Plenty of other schools are staying in touch with the Hampton Roads lineman.
"Tennessee, Connecticut, Clemson, Michigan State and Notre Dame are talking," he said. "Tennessee wants more film before they offer, while UConn and Clemson aren't sure about my position quite yet."
Summer is already here and Ruff plans to start taking visits this weekend.
"I'm going to Virginia Tech on June 9th, Virginia on June 16th, back to Virginia with my team on the 24th through the 27th and Maryland on the 21st," he said. "On those visits, I want to see more of the school and talk to the coaches. I want to see how they actually coach there too."
With no apparent leaders at this time, what is Ruff looking for in a college?
"I just am looking to see how the school is in general, academic wise and how the coaches interact with the players," he said. "I'm going to consider what the players say about the coaches too and then see how my parents feel, but most of all it'll come down to where I feel the most comfortable."
