Ruckers offer total rises

Detroit (Mich.) Country Day defensive back and wide receiver Chris Rucker has one thing in mind for college, while recruiters may have another.
"Hopefully I'll play wide receiver," Rucker said. "That's what I want to play."

But Rucker, who has a number of scholarship offers on the table, admitted recruiters seem to be talking more about cornerback.
"I like Iowa, Minnesota, Purdue, Bowling Green, Indiana, Miami of Ohio, and Wisconsin," Rucker said. "Iowa, Minnesota, Purdue, Bowling Green, and Miami of Ohio have offered."
Rucker plans to visit at least two of those schools during the summer.
"I know for sure I'll go to camps at Bowling Green and Iowa," he said. "I'm not sure about the others right now."
Rucker is also not sure who his top choice would be at this point.
"I don't really know who I like best," he said. "I want to see some campuses and check some schools out."
The 5-foot-8 and 165-pound Rucker made 40 tackles and intercepted three passes during his junior season. He also caught 25 passes, averaged an outstanding 27.8 yards per reception, and scored six times, which may explain his love for offense.
