Rucker visits hometown school

Memphis (Tenn.) Whitehaven wide receiver Marcus Rucker didn't leave town this weekend but he did take in his fourth official visit. Rucker was on the campus of his hometown school at the University of Memphis.
"Everything went good," Rucker said. "I had fun. They took me through a lot stuff, I'm from Memphis so I kind of knew my way around a little. My host was the QB they just signed from JUCO Arkelon Hall. He was fine. He's just a newcomer but it was good since he's a QB so if I choose to go there it's good to know him."

The three-star prospect was joined on the trip by fellow three-star teammate, linebacker Tenarius Wright. The two have gone on the majority of their trips together and this weekend they were reunited with an old teammate.
"Yeah we tried to plan all our trips together," he said of Wright's appearance. "Our teammate played for them, Darius Davis, he's a corner. He's a freshman. It was good hanging out with."
Rucker had a chance to sit down with the coaching staff and talk to them about his recruitment. The staff had both a sales pitch and some advice to pass on.
"They got a plan for me," he said. "You let you know that they want you. They said to do a lot of research on the other teams and to make sure that they let me know what they want me for. Make sure that they tell you why they want to pull you from home."
At this point Rucker has tentative plans to make his decision on Signing Day. However, before that he has one more visit that he may take.
"I think I'm going to MTSU next weekend," he said. "They haven't offered yet. I guess that's why they want to get me down there. I've got a teammate on their team."
At this point, Rucker lists his top three as Indiana, Kentucky and Memphis.
