Royster prepares for Oklahoma visit

Chantilly (Va.) Westfield running back Evan Royster has scheduled his first official visit this week on September 2nd to Oklahoma. What does the 6-foot-0, 190-pounder with 4.5-second speed hope to see?
"I actually went down there a month ago and saw a lot of the facilities, but I want to get a closer look at all of them," he said. "I'd probably like to get to know some of the players and see what their characters are like."

The No. 13 prospect in Virginia plans to take all five official visits.
"I don't know who else will get visits," he said. "I might take one more during the season on our bye week, but then the rest will have to be afterwards."
Royster has received a lot of interest from a handful of schools.
"Nebraska, Alabama, Tennessee and Florida have all been sending a lot of mail,' he said. "Florida hasn't offered, but they send me information about official visits, so they might be interested."
Meanwhile, the No. 27 running back in the country has already taken in two scrimmages and is getting ready for the season to start.
"We did pretty well in the scrimmages, we played one of the better teams in Maryland and went down to Virginia Beach to play Oscar Smith," he said. "I feel I did alright. I didn't get to play as much as I had hoped because of the risk of injury. I don't even know what I ran for. The one thing I learned from the scrimmages was that we're a better team than we think."
Royster ran for 2,200 yards and 29 touchdowns as he was named first team all-state as a junior.
