Royster makes it official, hes going to PSU

Chantilly (Va.) Westfield running back Evan Royster concluded his recruitment last night by committing to Joe Paterno and Penn State. The 6-foot-0, 190-pounder with 4.45-second speed chose the Nittany Lions over offers from Nebraska, Maryland and Virginia amongst others.
"Coach Paterno stopped by school on Tuesday, but he didn't actually verbal to them until last night," said Westfield head coach Tom Verbanic. "I know he really enjoyed his visit there last weekend and said it was the place for him."

What in particular sold the three-star prospect about Happy Valley?
"He really loves the school and the environment overall there," he said. "In particular, he was really impressed with the players and coaches he visited and stayed with. I know Derrick Williams was his host and he thought coach Paterno was awesome and couldn't wait to play for him."
Royster may see the field as early as next season.
"The coaches have told him they are in need of running backs and they think he's got a lot of potential," he said. "Everything depends how he does when he gets there this summer whether he plays or redshirts."
Royster is the 19th commitment for Penn State this season. He rated the No. 13 player in Virginia and No. 26 running back in the country.
