Royster has five in mind

Chantilly (Va.) Westfield running back Evan Royster finished his career recently by rushing for over 200 all-purpose yards as Westfield lost a tough 42-24 contest at Oakton. The 6-foot-0, 190-pounder discussed his season and talked about refocusing his efforts on recruiting.
"I don't remember my statistics for the year," he said. "I would say I was happy with how I played, but I wasn't always satisfied. I think I got a lot stronger at least and I'm proud that our team proved people wrong and we were able to get to the regional finals because no one thought we would."

The three-star prospect is just getting back in the full swing of recruiting.
"I'm trying to narrow down some schools as I think I'll start taking visits sometime in December," he said. "The schools I'm looking at most are Florida, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Penn State and Virginia Tech.
"Florida has still not offered and I don't know why that is because they act interested. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens. I've been talking to Penn State recently in particular Larry Johnson who is a really nice guy and straight up. Finally, Virginia Tech is a good option that I want to keep out there."
It's been assumed through much of the process that the Big 12 schools have the advantage for Royster.
"The real reason I've been looking at them the most is because they've been recruiting me the hardest, that's really it," he said. "I'd still say I don't have a favorite yet."
This week Royster is expecting visits from Maryland, Nebraska and Penn
State. Nebraska is also scheduling an in-home visit for the No. 27 running
back with head coach Bill Callahan.
