Royal sets up another in-state visit

Chantilly (Va.) Westfield four-star wide receiver Eddie Royal has added an official visit to take his total to three. Although no others are set yet, he wants to take all five before making a decision.
“I am going to UVA on Jan. 16,” he commented. His other visits will be to Tennessee on Dec. 12 and Virginia Tech on Jan. 23. Marshall and Syracuse are also schools he is considering. So how does he rate his favorites?

Tech and Marshall are high, Tennessee and UVA are medium, and you can probably put Syracuse as low,” he commented. He plans to take his other two visits, but is unsure where, although Marshall is a likely candidate. So while he is taking the visits, what is he looking for and what will his decision come down to?
“Just how comfortable I am with the school and the coaches,” he commented. “Also playing time.”
He has also set up an in-home visit with Marshall (head coach Bob Pruett) tomorrow. Coach Al Golden from Virginia, Coach Larry Slade from Tennessee, and Coach Lorenzo Ward from Virginia Tech will also be visiting.
“I don’t know the exact date for those schools,” he commented. “Tech will be after my season, though.” He plans to take all of his visits before making a decision.
Eddie is rated the Rivals.com No. 22 wide receiver, and at 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, he runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds. Westfield will play in the state semi-finals this Saturday at 1:30, but so far he has 42 catches for 800 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Royal is close to qualifying academically with a 2.4 GPA, but must remain focused in the classroom. He scored an 840 on the SAT, but has only taken it once, and plans to retake it soon. He wants to major in sociology.
