Royal changes visit dates

Chantilly (Va.) Westfield four-star wide receiver Eddie Royal is in the process of getting all of his visits set up, but that process has caused him to do a little shuffling of dates. He is now up to three visits, but the order has changed somewhat, and one of his original destinations is now seeking a new time.
“Tennessee will now be on Jan. 16, (Virginia) Tech on the 23rd, and Marshall on the 30th,” he said. “I have to get UVA in during the week one week.”

Virginia Tech’s Frank Beamer and Tennessee’s Phil Fulmer both came in for in-home visits tonight, and Bob Pruett from Marshall has already been in. He said Syracuse has stopped showing interest, but Penn State and Ohio State have both recently started showing interest, although neither has offered yet.
He still lists Virginia Tech and Marshall as leaders, but does not plan to commit until Feb. 2.
Royal stands 5-foot-11, weighs 175 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds. He is the Rivals.com No. 22 wide receiver, and as a senior he had more than 40 catches for 925 yards and 16 touchdowns. He was named all-met player of the year, first team all-met, first-team all-region, first-team all-district, all-journal first team, and all-journal player of the year.
