Rowe talks visits

Long Beach Poly (Calif.) defensive lineman Kenny Rowe took his first official visit this past weekend to Arizona and will take visit No. 2 this coming weekend to see two of his favorite schools go at it.
Rowe, 6-2, 210 pounds is one of the elite pass rushers in the West region. He's having a big year and has been as impressive as any defensive lineman in the state we've seen thus far.

On the recruiting front, Rowe, along with his teammate Donovan Warren took an official visit to Arizona this past weekend.
"I had a real good time, Arizona was pretty high on my list going in and that is still the case now," Rowe said. "We didn't even set up the visit until last Thursday but once schools found out we had a bye last weekend, I had a lot of schools calling me to try and get me to come up for a visit.
"We got out there on Friday and after meeting some of the guys on the team, we went out and got a nice tour of the city. Tucson is a pretty laid back place so it fit my personality pretty well. The players on the team are cool and we all got along really well with everyone.
"Saturday, we took tours of the campus and checked out the football facilities. Everything was real impressive to me. That's one of the nicest campuses I've been on and I loved the weight room. They have some pretty high tech stuff in there that's for sure.
"The game itself was just all right. I had fun and the crowd was cool but when things started going bad, some of the crowd started to leave a little early which surprised me. I was mainly watching the game as a fan but I was also checking out the defensive ends to see their style of play. I like their scheme, they let their guys get up the field and they have a nice, young defense that will only get better.
"Sunday, I met with Coach Robinson, my position coach and coach Stoops. They talked to me a lot about the direction of the program and how I would fit in. Overall, it was a good trip and I really had a good time. I felt comfortable there the whole time and that's really important to me.
"This weekend, I'm taking an official visit to Cal. They're playing Oregon and those two schools are probably recriting me harder than anyone. I really have no clue who is going to win this one but I do know it will be a great game and hopefully Desean (Jackson, former teammate) plays well no matter what happens.
"The only other trip I know I'll take after this one is Oregon but I don't have a date yet. I like Nebraska a lot and they're really recruiting me hard but I don't know if I'll get out there for a visit. USC is still high on my list too but I won't take a visit there because it's so close.
"I'm not hearing much from SC right now but I think it's because we just moved and they might not have my new numbers. My top five would be USC, Cal, Arizona, Nebraska and Oregon and I really don't have a leader. I'm just going to take my time and may not make a commitment until Signing Day."
