Rowe enjoys visit to Cal

Long Beach Poly (Calif.) defensive lineman Kenny Rowe took his first official visit two weeks ago to Arizona and was in Berkeley this past weekend for visit No. 2.
Rowe, 6-2, 215 pounds is a man of few words but still had a glowing review of his time at Cal.

"Overall, I had a great trip," Rowe said. "We had a game on Friday so I didnt' leave until Saturday morning. They had a night game on Saturday so I still got in with plenty of time to check out the campus and the football facilities.
"I had been to Cal a couple of times already so I already had a good idea of what the campus was like. I got picked up from the airport around 11:00 and headed over to the team hotel. The team was going through their pre-game and then we all headed over to the stadium.
"The team was really calm, they weren't jumping up and down or anything but they had kind of a quiet confidence about them. I relly thought it was going to be a close game but Cal blew them out pretty good. I was really impressed with their team and how they looked.
"The game atmosphere was crazy, it was probably the loudest I've ever heard a crowd before. They were hyped from the pre-game all the way to the end. It was a big game and you could tell how excited everyone was.
"After the game, I met up with my host, Gary Doxey (former Poly teammate) and we went back to his place. He rooms with Desean (Jackson) so we all hung out for awhile and then Gary and some of the other guys went out. Desean had family so he didn't hang with us but it's good to see how well he's doing. Berkeley is a cool place and I enjoyed everything about the trip.
"Sunday, I met with Coach Tedford and he told me how I would fit in with the team. Then we all went to brunch and I came home. LIke I said, I had a good time but I'm not ready to make a decision yet. I still want to visit Oregon but I'm not sure if that visit will be during the season or after."
In addition Arizona, Cal and Oregon, USC and Nebraska round out Rowe's top five.
