Roussel holds SEC offer

Things have certainly started well on the recruiting front for Baton Rouge (La.) Redemptorist linebacker Bradly Roussel.
The 5-foot-11, 215-pounder gathered his first scholarship offer from Tennessee. The interest doesn't stop there for Roussel. Schools such as LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn, Nebraska, and Florida have continued to show interest in Roussel and he's thinking about some upcoming junior day visits.

"Well, I kind of want to look around right now," Roussel said. "I haven't really made my mind up yet. I'm going to the LSU junior day. I think that's on Feb. 24. I don't know of any other ones right now.
"LSU is up there on my list, but I'm still looking. I don't really have any particular favorites."
Tennessee's early offer came as a surprise to Roussel.
"Well I found out about it going into the season," Rousell said about the offer. "I had no idea it was coming. I thought 'wow, I've got a scholarship offer to a Division I school.'"
Nebraska and Ole Miss have both invited Roussel to the junior day. Roussel says he's spoken with the Husker coaching staff.
"They just talked about the campus and how they want me to come up there for a visit," Roussel said. "I'm not sure which other junior days I'm going to make."
Roussel says that he doesn't have a leading school, but the in-state Tigers are certainly up there on his list.
"Well, yeah I want to check out all of my options," he said. "Definitely, LSU is up there at the top though."
Roussel was a sophomore starter on the Redemptorist 3A state championship team. That year he totaled 168 tackles.
