Rouson following footsteps

Following in his father's footsteps, Princeton (N.J.) The Hun School running back Jaslee Rouson has concluded his recruiting and gave a verbal commitment today to Colorado. The 5-foot-10, 220-pounder chose the Buffaloes over offers from Maryland, North Carolina, Rutgers, Syracuse and Wake Forest among others.
"I just love everything about Colorado," he said. "My father played there and I grew up running around in Buffaloes pajamas and the opportunity came and I love it. I love the program there and how close the players are with each other, the stadium, academics and more.

"I told their coaches this afternoon of my decision and they were all really excited because I'm excited about going there. They know that I love the school and I can't wait to be a Buffalo and they are as excited as I am. I can't wait for Signing Day to come."
The two-star prospect says that his father, Lee is just as excited as he is.
"My dad is really happy that I'm going there," he said. "I think he's trying to play it off how excited he is as he's trying to be calm, cool and collected about it, but I know he's glad I'm headed there. I think once he sees me in uniform he'll be ecstatic."
What can Rouson add to Colorado?
"I think I can bring everything," he said. "I am a great blocker. I can run the ball and catch. I want to help lead Colorado to a national championship and I'll do anything coach Hawkins wants, because he's a great coach and has proven that at Boise State."
The No. 39 player in New Jersey plans to run track, work in the weight room and on his explosiveness before heading West in August.
