Rouse has visits in mind

Joliet (Ill.) Catholic linebacker Kevin Rouse still has quite a list of schools he is considering. He will need to narrow things down in the not too distant future if he is to select his college by his current timeline.
"I have 17 (scholarship) offers," Rouse said. "I haven't narrowed it down yet,"

Rouse has visited a number of the schools that have offered and has more trips in mind.
"I probably won't do any camps," he said. "But I'm going to Pitt at the end of July. And I'm going to North Carolina State a couple days before Pitt.
"Some of the schools I've only been to once, like Iowa and Minnesota, I'd like to get to again."
But time may not allow Rouse to get to all the schools that have offered.
"I haven't been to Indiana, Kansas, Kansas State, and Oklahoma State," he said.
The in-state schools also appeal to Rouse.
"I'm looking closely at Northwestern," he said. "And Illinois offered about a month ago.
"Wisconsin is another school that has offered."
Rouse wants to end the recruiting process in the next month or so.
"I want to decide before my season starts in August," he said. "I want to try to visit everyone."
The 6-foot-0 and 217-pound Rouse made 90 tackles including nine sacks during his junior season. Rouse is also a fine student who is in great shape on that front.
