Ross takes last summer visit

Three-star defensive tackle Joel Ross out of Houma (La.) Vandebilt Catholic took his last unofficial of the summer not too long ago. The 6-foot-1, 312-pounder stayed in-state and stopped by LSU in late July.
"I just went up there for practice and it was good," he said. "The coaches told me they liked what they saw, but didn't really mention anything about an offer."

Currently Ross holds six offers from Arkansas, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Grambling and McNeese State. Does he have a leader?
"Not really," he stated. "I don't know right now. I've got to see how everything plays out this year.
"I'm looking for somewhere I can come in and make an immediate impact. It'd be really hard for me to wait a year, so playing time is important. The other main thing is education. I think I want to study business."
Ross confirmed he does plan to take officials, but more than likely will do them after the season.
The three-star prospect is in the middle of fall practice.
"The team is coming along good and we've got a very good chance to make the playoffs and go real far this year," he said. "We've got some scrimmages coming up and then our first game is on August 31st."
