Ross not quite ready

Today was supposed to be the day that Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) defensive back Devin Ross narrowed his list of schools down to a final, workable five. The top 100 corner said he's close but still not quite ready to trim his list just yet.
"I've been so busy lately that I haven't had a chance to do it yet," Ross said. "We just finished double days on Saturday and then we started school on Monday. Plus I want to wait until Allen (Bradford) and Shareece (Wright) have their list narrowed and they're not ready yet either so I'm just going to sit back for a little back, talk with those guys and hopefully have it down to five in a couple of days."

Ross is excited to take his first official visit this weekend.
"The three of us are all going to Nebraska," Ross said. "It should be fun and we're all looking forward to it. The following week, we start our season so there is a lot going on right now. My latest offer was from Kansas State and I'm close to 20 right now. I also just finished up a computer course that I needed and sent it over to UCLA and once they get that, they'll be offering too."
Ross took unofficial visits to several schools during the summer including Washington, Cal, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA and USC and said he would still like to check out Arizona State and Arizona as well. Michigan, Oklahoma and Colorado have all offered and it's likely Ross' final five will come from the above mentioned schools.
