Devin Ross has been hearing from some new schools but the Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop Alemany athlete is still taking his time with the recruiting process.
The 5-foot-9, 170-pound three-star prospect said at the Pierce College 7on7 tournament this past weekend that he's happy with his offers and the interest coming in and needs to do research on all the teams to figure out which ones he likes most.
"I really haven't researched the schools yet and I really want to research them to see which one is the best fit," Ross said. "I like the Pac-12 but I'm not sure yet.
"It all depends when I research them and find the perfect fit. I want to find the best combination of great academics and a great football team. That's what I'm really looking for."
So far, Ross has received offers from Boston College, Colorado, Hawaii, Iowa State, Minnesota, Nevada, San Diego State and Utah.
Ross said at the 7on7 tournament that Wyoming is showing new interest and that he will attend camp at UCLA this weekend. A trip to Arizona State for camp could also happen this off-season.
More than anything, Ross wants to sit down soon to figure out which programs best suit him. He could play wide receiver or cornerback so he's versatile and open to both positions.
"I have a lot of football and school just ended but I'll be doing it soon," Ross said.
