"I've been there before for a junior day so I knew what it was like. There weren't many people there right now. But I met the coaches and toured the campus. It was nothing spectacular, but I liked it."
However Rose did not like it enough to keep the Spartans on his list.
"I've been to Ohio State, USC, Tennessee, and Michigan State," he said. "I'm all done.
"It's pretty much down to Ohio State and USC, and Tennessee. I'll announce Jan. 7 at the Army All-American game."
The 6-foot-4 and 240 pound Rose is the No. 13 strongside defensive end in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 8 prospect in the state of Ohio.
