Rolle talks recruiting
Immokalee (Fla.) linebacker/safety Brian Rolle has a handful of early scholarship offers and one team out in front.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pounder has scholarship offers from Florida, Ole Miss and UNLV. Various other schools, like UConn, Notre Dame and Miami (Fla.) have been showing some interest.

The Gator offer came while Rolle was attending Junior Day on April 1 in Gainesville.
"My trip was wonderful up there, honestly," he said. "I've always been back and forth between Florida and Miami as my favorite school my whole life, but when I went up to Florida it was exactly what I was looking for.
"I got to talk to Tim Tebow and I got to talk to Jermalle Cornelius and they were telling me how great it is."
Rolle has the Gators out in front for now.
"Honestly, I think Florida right now is the right fit for me," Rolle said. "I'm just not ready to commit yet. I'm trying to lay low and ride it out. I'm keeping my options open right now. I'm wide-open.
"I'm going to take a few trips and see what's out there before I make a final decision."
Gators assistant Steve Addazio is Rolle's Florida recruiter-of-record.
Former Miami (Fla.) assistant Art Kehoe, now at Ole Miss, is recruiting Rolle for the Rebels.
"I think he knew about me from before."
Notre Dame is another school that Rolle is interested in. The Fighting Irish have been sending him letters for quite some time.
"I've gotten a lot of letters from them," Rolle said. "My coach actually thinks that could be the best place for me.
"It's a great school."
Rolle also would like to get offers from Miami (Fla.), LSU and Virginia Tech.
At the next level, Rolle projects as a safety or an outside linebacker.
"I'm not really one of those guys that's going to say that I'm only going to play this position or that position," he said. "If I had to pick one right now, it would be outside linebacker, but I am open to anywhere that helps the team."
Rolle believes there are several things that set him apart as a prospect.
"My strength is my big-play ability," he said. "I'm the type of player, and I know this may sound strange, but I can foresee the plays before they happen, so I know where the ball is going.
"I practice hard and give 110 percent and I am also very intense. I'm also positive on and off the field."
Rolle recently posted some stellar testing numbers April 9 at the Miami NIKE Camp in Coral Gables, Fla. He ran a sub-4.5 second 40-yard dash and threw up 185 pounds nearly 30 times on the bench press.
He also benefited from the position drills.
"That NIKE Camp was excellent," Rolle said. "I really got charged up about the teaching drills. I can take some of what I learned back with me and use it with my own fellow linebackers at my high school.
"It really helped me."
