Roland recaps his Towson trip

This past weekend, Coral Gables (Fla.) offensive lineman Mike Roland took an official visit to Towson. It marked his first official visit.
"I met the coaches and the team," Roland said. "I saw the academic facilities. I got a chance to see the field. I saw all of their facilities."

The 6-foot-4, 290-pound offensive lineman said that a few things in particular about Towson stood out to him.
"I like the passion that the coaches have," Roland said. "The team is a family. I also liked the town."
Amongst the coaching staff, the South Florida prospect has developed a strong relationship with one particular coach.
"Coach (Canute) Curtis," Roland said. "He is the main coach that has been recruiting me. He has told me how much they want me and need me there. He has just told me a lot about the school. He talked about how good the academics are. He said their o-line coach (John Donatelli) is really interested in me and thinks I can do good."
If Roland opts for Towson, they intend to use him as an interior lineman, more than likely an offensive guard.
The Tigers aren't the only school heavily pursuing Roland. He has a pair of other visits in mind over the next two months.
"I plan to go see Georgetown this week and Western Michigan on January 20th," Roland said. "Those are my top three schools. I am just open at this point."
