Rogers hoping for Florida offer

Dane Rogers favors two schools and he hasn't really been trying to keep that a secret.
The cousin of Carlos Watkins, the four-star prospect who signed with Clemson in February, it's no surprise that the Tigers are one of Rogers' two favorites.

The Shelby (N.C.) Crest defensive end was supposed to attend Clemson's spring game this weekend but he wasn't able to make it. He watched the game on television and has resolved to make a trip to the school as quickly as possible to make up for that missed opportunity.
"I'll most definitely be there soon," Rogers said. "They hit me up the other day and said they're going to come down here sometime next month to let me know what's going on down there.
"I know for sure I'll be down there in the summer."
Florida is the other school at the top of Rogers' list.
Clemson has offered but Florida has not. The 6-foot-3, 235-pound defensive end is holding out hope that the Gators will offer. It would be a huge moment if it comes and Rogers doesn't seem to think it's a matter of if, only a matter of when.
"I'm still waiting for that Florida offer," Rogers said. "I don't know when I'm getting it but I'm going to get it. I hate that I haven't gotten it yet but I think it's coming. They've really wanted me since February."
Rogers said he doesn't have any visit plans but is willing to visit any school that offers him between now and the summer.
