Rogers excited by UCLA offer

Greg Rogers had a strong performance at the Las Vegas Rivals Camp six weeks ago, showing quickness off the snap and the agility to get past older, more seasoned offensive linemen.
The 6-foot-3, 293-pound defensive tackle from Las Vegas (Nev.) Centennial has emerged as one of the top lineman out west for the 2017 class, and on Friday he landed a scholarship offer from UCLA, his fourth.

"Coach (Taylor) Mazzone and coach Angus (McClure) have talked with me and are recruiting me, and I'm pretty excited," Rogers said. "They are definitely one of my front runners for college. I love their program."
Rogers, in fact, intends to visit Los Angeles in three weeks. He also has plans to camp with the Bruins this summer, despite already holding an offer.
"The program is an amazing program, and it has a great background with sports and academics," Rogers said.
Rogers also holds offers from UNLV, Utah and Northern Arizona. He has family in the Grand Canyon State and has been hearing a lot from the two Pac-12 programs in that state.
UCLA views Rogers as a force on the interior.
"Coach McClure, when we talked, he told me he likes my aggressive play and how I keep my pads level low," Rogers said. "They envision me at defensive tackle for sure."
Rogers was credited with 37 tackles, including 10 for a loss, in nine games as a sophomore last season.
