Four-star defensive tackle Greg Rogers has family in Arizona and ever since his recruitment picked up, he has been hoping to get out to there for a visit.

The 6-foot-3, 293-pound prospect from Las Vegas (Nev.) Centennial finally made it out to the Phoenix area over the weekend and checked out Arizona State against USC.
Though the Sun Devils fell by a wide margin, Rogers said the result didn't muddle his trip.

WHAT'S NEXT?: Rogers, one of the region's top prospects for the 2017 class, intends to visit UCLA next. He made it out to campus during the spring, assistant coach Angus McClure stopped by his game earlier this season and Rogers saw the Bruins in action at UNLV a few weeks ago.
IN HIS WORDS: "ASU was amazing," Rogers told Rivals.com. "The coaches treated me great and their uniforms and fan base were amazing. I spoke to basically all of the coaches and grad assistants. I had a real good talk with coach (Jackie) Shipp about the tempo he likes, how much he loves my game and that I'd fit in his system real well, which is something I was definitely trying to hear.
"UCLA is most likely going to be my next stop, probably when they play California. I'm still looking into a commitment maybe in late December or early January, but it's soon."
RIVALS' REACTION: Rogers holds double-digit scholarship offers and is in the process of narrowing things down, though he is not shutting off newcomers. Notre Dame, Oregon, Texas A&M and USC are some of the schools that have reached out since the start of the contact period, but it's the Arizona schools along with UCLA that have been perhaps the most persistent. Rogers was close to committing to the Bruins earlier this year and it wouldn't come as a completely shock if he announced for them, but for now he is keeping all his options open.
