Rodriguez enjoys visit to SDSU

Hacienda Hts (Calif.) Los Altos tight end Raymond Rodriguez has visited Louisiana Tech, Nevada and checked out San Diego State this past weekend. The athlete could take one more trip before making his decision.
Rodriguez, 6-2, 240 pounds loved his visit to La. Tech, thought his visit to Nevada was just OK and had a great time at SDSU this past weekend.

"I really had a good time and loved everything about the trip," Rodriguez said. "They have great people there and I loved the environment. They have great facilities and I was very comfortable with the guys on the team and fit in very well there.
"They offered me awhile back but when I asked them on the visit what they would say if I told them I wanted to commit, they told me they wanted me to wait because they have a couple of other tight ends they're waiting on first.
"That was a little surprising but they just said to be patient. They said they have one JC tight end and one other high school tight end who was on the visit as well. They told me that by Wednesday of this week, they'll let me know where things are at. They're coming over for a home visit that night so they'll tell me what my status is then.
"I relaly liked SDSU a lot and they're right there with La. Tech. I also may take a visit to Arkansas. They just got my film and called me today and said they want to trip me in that last weekend of February before Signing Day. I'm supposed to call them back to set it up but I think that's something I definitely want to do."
