Rodgers tops in 2008

College coaches have a different language when evaluating talent. Terms like hips, stiff, hops, motor, vision, straights and wiggle are found prominently in the recruiting handbook.
When describing Lamar Consolidated's Jaquizz Rodgers, coaches use the unabridged thesaurus of adjectives.

Rodgers (5-7, 165-pounds) has a great set of hips, which give him tremendous wiggle, making his opponents look stiff.
The Greater Houston's most prolific scorer received his first early offer from the Arizona Wildcats. It's no surprise that the Wildcats have identified Lamar as a honey hole of talent, having offered seniors Lavar Brown and Jarvis Jones.
"He just has that natural running back step," Lamar Lydell Wilson said. "It's part of him that you can't teach."
Rodgers rushed for over 1,700 yards and 38 touchdowns this season, following up on a 1,900 yard, 30 touchdown total as a sophomore.
