Rockhurst OL close to an offer

Each year Kansas City (Mo.) Rockhurst has a group of players that get plenty of Division I attention.
This year one of its better offering is 6-foot-2, 274-pound offensive guard/defensive tackle Matt Moorman. While he's still searching for his first scholarship offer, he's getting plenty of attention from the recruiters.

"I feel strong about Ball State possibly offering," Moorman said. "Missouri, Kansas, and Arkansas have asked me to send them some tape. Ball State said they might offer toward the end of the summer because I went and camped there.
"I've been to Ball State, Kansas, Missouri, and I'm going to the Arkansas soon. I've done pretty well I think. I did the best at Missouri. I did the best testing out of all the linemen."
He says both KU and Mizzou are recruiting him the hardest, though.
So why do teams like him?
"I've got quick feet," he said. "I always finish my blocks. I'm just a hard-nosed kid, I'm good in the trenches."
That description is classic Rockhurst.
The school's known for producing some the toughest players in all of Kansas City, but with the school's high academic standard kids look hard at the academic programs college's offer when recruiting them.
"Academics certainly will be the top thing I look for in a school," he. "I also want to be somewhat close to home. With Arkansas, I've got family in Springfield so it wouldn't be too bad. I like the atmosphere at all those schools. I'll probably want to take my visits and then maybe commit at the end of the season."
