Rocco might rock at DB

The transformation of Rocco Pentello might be nearly complete.
Originally pegged as one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in Ohio, more and more teams are looking at him at safety. And after a strong showing at Ohio State's summer camp, he might have just found a future spot in the defensive backfield because he's such a gifted athlete.

Several college coaches at the camp were raving about how great his feet were. One Big East coach said he had the best feet of any defensive back in the entire camp.
Pentello said he's flattered to hear things like that, but he's also pleased.
"I think I did well, according to everyone," Pentello, who is 6-foot and 188 pounds, said. "I got three new offers after the Ohio State camp from Cincinnati, Marshall and Akron.
"Of those schools, I don't know who I'd favor, probably right now Cincinnati, because they are in the Big East. That is the biggest offer I have gotten so far, conference wise."
Pentello said he was pleased that he showed the colleges that he can be just as successful at safety as he is at quarterback. As a junior, he threw for 2,200 yards and had 890 yards rushing.
"It was good exposure for me," he said. "There were a lot of coaches that got to see what I can do. Coaches got to see me at DB more. Some schools are now recruiting me as a defensive back only, or maybe special teams, punter returner and kick returner," he said. There are still some that like me as a quarterback, and if it doesn't work quarterback then some at ride receiver, most are looking at me as a defensive back."
Pentello said he would desperately love to get an offer from Ohio State, but he's not sure how interested the Bucks are in him.
