Robinson waiting on first offer

Delray Beach (Fla.) Village Academy wide receiver Devonte Robinson was an unknown name going into the recent Miami Under Armour Combine. After flashing good speed, including a 4.47 second 40-yard dash, the 6-foot-1, 168-pound wide receiver is starting to receive Division I interest.
"I have been talking with the University of Kansas," Robinson said. "We are just talking at this point. They haven't offered me yet."

Robinson shared a bit of his conversation with Turner Gill's staff.
"They just told me they saw my highlight tape and that they really liked it," Robinson said. "They also told me they want to bring in only one receiver or whatever. He just said they are really interested in me."
At this point, Robinson is trying to learn more about the Jayhawks football team and the University of Kansas as a whole.
"I am not familiar with them but I am trying to go on their website and learn as much as I can about them," Robinson said.
The Big 12 program is the only school showing interest at this point, but Robinson hopes to change that throughout the spring and summer by showing his ability on the field.
"I plan to attend lots of camps and combines," Robinson said. "I plan to just work hard and show what I can do."
As a junior, Robinson was used as a wide receiver and a running back on offense, as well as a safety on defense.
