"Hitting, I just feel like hitting and going against the elite players," Robinson said.
Of course when he arrived there were plenty of questions on the minds of others. The 6-5, 305-pound standout is currently committed to Texas, but he has already taken official visits to Florida State and USC, causing some to question his commitment.
"My commitment has been really solid a whole year," Robinson said. "It's been pretty cool going out to see some games and talking to some of my friends who go there and just being around the players and coaches and stuff."
Robinson also plans to visit Alabama in addition to Texas in the near future. What is it about the schools that intrigued him enough to visit?
"I was interested but I didn't really get to go see them because I had family issues," Robinson said. "I have the chance to go see them now, so I'm going to go see them … (and) see if I'm making the right decision."
Robinson just laughs at all the talk on the message boards and in social media. He has an official visit to scheduled to Alabama on Jan. 18 and closes out with a visit to Texas on Jan. 25.
The standout defensive tackle remains in contact with coaches, and remembers what he has always liked about the Texas Longhorns.
"They were the first school to start talking to me and the first school to offer me," Robinson said. "I like the environment down there and the players, so I was like just get on board and go to Texas."
Just how solid is that commitment?
"It's solid, solid as a rock," Robinson said.
