Robinson readies for big visits

Curtis Robinson recently returned from a trip to Notre Dame and he's heading to UCLA and Stanford soon as the four-star continues to figure out his recruitment.
The upcoming trip to Stanford for the Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei prospect is definitely intriguing.

"I'm looking forward to it," Robinson said. "I'm excited to get out there because I haven't been up there. It's going to be for a junior day but I talked to the coaches and there are going to be about 10 kids there so it shouldn't be too crazy.
"I want to see how I fit into the defense there and the position I would be playing. I'm also looking at the undergraduate program for business. Some schools don't offer it but a lot of schools that I do have up there do have it and that's big for me. I want to be able to get my MBA by the time I graduate."
Stanford is under serious consideration and Robinson said his recent trip to Notre Dame really stood out as well especially because there were so many similarities to his Mater Dei experience. That could play a major role as his recruitment goes on.
"I brought up the undergraduate program and you could get your MBA in four years which is crazy good," Robinson said. "The tradition behind it and how similar it is to Mater Dei is crazy. Really in every aspect, the football, the school, the counselors. That really surprised me and it felt like being home."
UCLA is also a player along with some others for Robinson, who was arguably the top overall player at the Passing Down SoCal Elite Regional this past weekend. His mother is a Spanish professor there but that's only part of it.
His relationship with the coaches is key and Robinson is expected to spend some more time on campus soon as he looks to start narrowing down his extensive options.
"UCLA is up there, too," Robinson said. "I get my wisdom teeth out the Monday after Easter but I'll be up at UCLA on Wednesday or Thursday for spring practice. I'll be there all day and I'm going to stay and talk with the coaches."
