Robinson could be close to offer

Curtis Robinson has seen his recruitment pick up in recent weeks and he's been receiving much more interest from plenty of programs.
One of the teams that has stepped it up is UCLA and that could be a major offer for the 2016 three-star athlete from Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei.

Robinson, rated as the No. 31 athlete in the junior class by Rivals.com, is hopeful an offer could be coming soon.
"I've been hearing a lot more from UCLA," Robinson said. "That's starting to pick up a lot more. Schools have been coming in almost every day. I talked to Stanford, Notre Dame was here and I talked to Vanderbilt, too.
"UCLA is very high on my list so that would be a huge offer for me. The history I have with them and being a part of that school with my mom working there as a professor so that would be big for me."
The Santa Ana Mater Dei prospect who's mainly being recruited as an outside linebacker thinks something could be coming soon.
Robinson has talked with some UCLA assistant coaches and an unofficial visit could happen in the next few weeks or closer to National Signing Day.
"I do think that the offer is close," Robinson said. "Coach (Kennedy) Polamalu and coach (Jeff) Ulbrich came out to my school and we were talking for a while. They said they wanted to get a good recruiting relationship started and they want to do it the right way.
"They don't want to just throw one out immediately before we establish a good relationship so after the dead period is over they're going to invite me out for an unofficial so I can meet the whole coaching staff and then it should pick up pretty fast."
So far, Robinson has been offered by Boston College, California, Duke and Washington.
He finished with 25 catches for 252 yards and one touchdown along with 40 tackles, four sacks and an interception in his junior season.
