Robinson adds SEC and Pac 12 offers

Denton (Texas) Guyer Rivals100 2017 quarterback Shawn Robinson has been in the spotlight since starting as a sophomore for the Wildcats, and he has thrived.
College coaches are already well aware of his abilities. He holds scholarship offers from Arizona State, Baylor, LSU, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas, Tulsa, and most recently USC.

The Trojans extended an offer on Monday, and Robinson was excited to receive the opportunity.
"That's a very good program," Robinson said. "They're a winning program. They're USC. They have a big reputation. That's a big time school. I'm very grateful for that."
Sunday night the LSU Tigers joined Robinson's offer list, and the standout quarterback also likes what he sees in Baton Rouge.
"When I think of LSU I think of the SEC," Robinson said. "They're always contending for a national championship, and they're always contending for the SEC. I just think of big time college."
In addition to grabbing offers, Robinson has also been making travel plans.
"Yes sir, me and my dad and coach Vallejo are making a calendar of the colleges and dates we're going to go," Robinson said. "It's not done yet, but I know we're going to go to Texas, Oklahoma, Baylor, Ole Miss, and we're adding on other places. We're just trying to get it all figured out. I know it's going to be during spring practices and I might go to a couple of camps in the summer."
He has already taken a trip to TCU, and the Horned Frogs made a strong impression.
"I've only been to TCU's Junior Day so far. It was pretty good," Robinson said. "They treated me like I was one of their own. It was good. My mom loved it. They showed love to my little brothers. They made me feel at home."
One aspect of his visit to Fort Worth really caught his attention
Every college is going to have good facilities, so I would have to say the relationship with the coaches," Robinson said. "I have a good relationship with them. Coach Patterson, coach Cumbie, pretty much everybody."
It should come as no surprise the TCU coaches are among a few Robinson feels he has already grown close with throughout the process.
"I would probably have to say coach Cumbie and oach Gary Patterson from TCU," Robinson said. "I've talked to coach Stoops from OU a couple of times and coach Riley. Then I'd have to say coach Watson from Texas."
Robinson is not ready to get too far ahead of himself and name any leaders, and at this time he is keeping an open mind towards the recruiting process.
Robinson is currently ranked a 6.0 4-star prospect and he is a member of the Rivals100. He completed 145 of 238 passes for 2,811 yards and 33 touchdowns while only throwing five interceptions. He also rushed for 1,415 yards and 17 scores on 137 carries while leading Guyer to a 10-2 record.
