Robertson has a higher standard

Dennison, Texas, running back Corey Robertson has gotten off to an excellent start on his senior season. So far his team is 2-0, and last weekend against Dallas Samuel he rushed for 152 yards on 20 carries for two scores. He also racked up a touchdown on three receptions for 52 yards. But for Robertson it was all in a day’s work.
“It’s tough dealing with the pressure of everybody trying to stop you,” Robertson, who is 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds, said. “Last year, I could get my yards. But this year it’s been tougher. It’s going to be a struggle to get 200 yards a game because everybody is gunning for me, but 150 yards a game is good. It’s not up to my standards, though.”

Those standards are pretty high when some colleges think you’re the top running back in Texas, and you’re ranked as the nation’s No. 26 rusher and a three-star prospect by Riavls.com.
With recruiting not much has changed other than a new scholarship offer from TCU. For a while he’s been high on the Iowa Hawkeyes and that’s not changed much – other than the other teams also up there with Iowa.
“If I had to pick today which schools I would visit, I would go check out Iowa, Arizona and Colorado for sure,” he said. “I’m not real sure about the others. I think A&M might sneak in there for visit. I’m thinking about taking one out there.
“My parents set up a visit for this past weekend for Arizona, but with the games being played and everything kind of crazy around here, the timing just ended up not being right. I’m going to go ahead and wait until December now to take my visits.”
