Robertson basically shuts it down

Zach Robertson took an official visit to LSU earlier this month and it looked like the Tigers could have played a serious role in his recruitment but the four-star lineman shut that down last week.
The Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco standout said at the B2G West Coast Bowl registration that while LSU is still being somewhat considered he plans to stick with his Arizona State commitment.

"I'm still kind of considering (LSU), still talking to them, coach (Jeff) Grimes has definitely been cool throughout the whole process but Arizona State has been there the whole time," Robertson said.
"They have my grades and everything, talking to my counselors, so they've been there since Day 1."
Robertson, rated as the No. 16 offensive guard by Rivals.com but who could move to offensive tackle for the Sun Devils, has been committed to ASU since the day after Christmas.
His relationship with the Arizona State coaching staff definitely played a role in his decision to basically shut it down. The Sun Devils were involved early on and that was a major contributor as well.
"I have a great relationship with coach Del Alexander and coach (Chris) Thomsen, the offensive line coach, and the ability to play early and just the brotherhood," Robertson said.
"Back-to-back 10 win seasons, bowl game they beat Duke and fighting to win the Pac-12 next year, I definitely want to be a part of that and make history at ASU."
Rivals.com rates Robertson as the No. 16 offensive guard and the No. 206 prospect in the 2015 class. He played offensive tackle his entire senior season and in the B2G West Coast Bowl so that could also be his future position.
