Roberts not the sleeper any longer

Even though the majority of people were looking at his counterpart on defense Daniel Johnson, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Russell Roberts has been making plays in the shadows all the while.
The two-star rated sleeper has emerged as a very big prospect for the in-state schools and more. Air Force got things started, but two more offers have jumped on the table and official visits will follow.

Coach Dwayne Eggerman says that things are really picking up.
"Oh yeah, his recruiting is going fine," Eggerman said about Roberts. "He just picked up offers from SMU and Tulane."
While visits were always in the works, some dates have been stamped down.
"Yeah, he's going to SMU on Jan. 13 and Tulane on Jan. 20," Eggerman said. "Those are the three offers to him at this point along with Air Force and I think he's excited about it."
"You would have to ask him about a favorite because he hasn't mentioned anything to me at this point."
Roberts is also hearing from TCU, Rice, and Northwestern. He boasts a great academic standing with a 1200 on his SAT and a near 4.0 GPA. Qualification will not be an issue whatsoever and along with his football talent, the offers may keep coming until Signing Day.
