When we last talked to Hayward (Calif.) wide out Robert Jordan, he mentioned that he and his close friend and teammate Phillip Mbakogu were going to be a package deal. According to Jordan, not only is that still the case, but now there could be two more pieces to the package.
“I’m having a great time here,” Jordan said, as he actually lobbed us a phone call while still on his visit (comes home tomorrow afternoon). “I’m not just saying this but I’m probably having the best time of my life here. Just hanging with the players on the team and the other recruits, going in to Frisco, playing video games, the girls, everything, it’s been an amazing time.
“I’ve hung out a lot with Marshawn (Lynch) and Virdell (Larkins) who I learned earlier in the year are my cousins. I knew who they both were already and then to find out we were related was real cool. The three of us along with Phillip have talked a lot this trip and we’re all going to the same college, you can take that to the bank. I know it doesn’t happen that often (package deals) but it’s going to happen with us. Cal and Oregon are the top schools for all four of us so we’ll just see what happens.”
Jordan will take the SAT next weekend and then visit Kansas State (Dec 19), Oregon (Jan. 9) and is still looking to visit Notre Dame and Washington State.
