Roberson still wide open

Malik Roberson's nickname is Red Bull and just like the energy drink, his recruitment is fast-paced, energetic and full of excitement early on.
The 2015 running back from Gardena (Calif.) Serra has already landed offers from Arizona State, Colorado State, Oregon State, San Diego State and UCLA and a lot of interest is also coming in as the spring evaluation period continues.

Roberson, also a track star, said it's too early to name favorites but he's definitely excited that his recruitment has picked up in the last few months.
Schools don't necessarily say where they'd like to use him but Roberson said every coach says one thing in particular: They love his speed.
"They don't really say where they want to use me, they just normally say they have interest in me and they like the speed," Roberson said. "That's about it so far.
"I don't have any favorites yet. I'm still wide open."
Roberson said Florida State, Wisconsin and Wyoming are showing new interest so he's thrilled to learn if more offers could be close.
UCLA is the latest offer for the Gardena Serra standout and that is particularly intriguing since it's a local school that has also offered a bunch of his teammates. Serra is arguably the top team in California for next season.
"They told me they wanted to offer me and that they were really interested in me," Roberson said. "They told me they love my speed. That's what a lot of coaches are telling me."
